It's been almost a year since we lost a truly great person, father, brother, friend, and son, Damien Martin. While most of our hearts' remain heavy, we have managed to move forward with his spirit in our hearts' everyday.
On Friday May 21st 2010, come join us at Club 11550 located at 729 Fulton Ave. Hempstead for a celebration of the life of a brother who left a positive mark on all he came in contact with. Join his former fire department and bike club brothers and sisters as we, not only eat good food and network, but also raise money for his children's college fund. We will be selling tickets that will be good for a $20 donation which will go in it's entirety to his children.

Wow playa, after the funeral, after the get together at the arch, and after the benefit fund for your children, I still can't believe you're gone.
My hang out partner, you were there for me when my mom passed 21 days before your accident. I never got to thank you for that. Thanks Damien for the comfort you gave to so many people, thanks for the laughs, but most of all thank you for being a friend.
On behalf of Headquarters Firehouse we give our fallen brother one last salute. I'm gonna miss you, and I will try my best to beat all the boys back from your beautiful daughter.

Sweet Damien From Saint Marys...

I am not very good at this. I remember Damien from high school. We had some classes together and he was such a great guy. He was always nice to everyone and made me laugh all the time....

God has plans for everyone and he took Damien too soon...

MY BROTHER,MY FRIEND

I FOUND OUT ON WEDNESDAY MAN. I GUESS NOBODY HAD MY NUMBER OR ANYTHING TO LET ME KNOW. AS SOON AS I FOUND OUT I BROKE DOWN,CRYING AND REACTING IN A WAY THAT YOU WOULD JOKE ON ME FOR. YOU WOULD TELL ME TO"MAN UP MIKE." I CAN'T MAN. I'VE TRIED BUT I CAN'T. I NEVER LOST ANYBODY CLOSE TO ME IN MY LIFE SO THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT. THE LAST TIME I TALKED TO YOU WAS RIGHT BEFORE I WEND TO MARYLAND FOR MY FATHERS BIRTHDAY. I WAS TEXTING YOU LATE ABOUT HOE ORLANDO WAS GONNA BEAT THE CAVS AND YOU CALLED ME AND SAID THAT YOU HAD TO GO TO WORK AND IF I TEXT YOU ONE MORE TIME YOU WOULD KNOCK ME OUT,LOL. WE BOTH LAUGHED AND I SAID I WOULD TELL YOU HOW THE TRIP WAS. I NEVER GOT TO TELL YOU HOW THE TRIP WAS. I CALLED BUT YOUR PHONE WASN'T ON. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPEND IN ALL THE YEARS I'VE KNOWN YOU BUT I DIDN'T THINK ANY THING WAS WRONG.......I SAW YOUR DAUGHTER FOR THE FIRST IME THE OTHER DAY.....I WASCRYING IN FRONT OF HER AND SHE LOOKED AT ME (LOOKING JUST LIKE YOU) AS IF TO SAY"MAN UP MIKE" AS SHE SMILED. SO I WILL ALWAYS CHECK UP ON HER AND SHE HOW SHE'S DOING.......I LOVE YOU MAN... YOU LAUGH IS STUCK IN MY HEAD...YOUR ALWAYS WITH ME.
